About Nathan
I'm a foundations first instructor. When building towards a health and fitness goal, the fundamentals are the focus. In modern times, exercise and nutrition has become overly complicated and dominated by fads. This is especially true in the era of fitness influencers. The old ways have always worked and the NASM OPT model lays out practical means of experiencing the concept of training your nervous system first.

Apart from my certifications, I'm a lifelong learner who regularly studies the research of other health and wellness enthusiasts. I maintain a large audiobook library of primarily fitness and nutrition materials. I also apply my own methodologies to my fitness and that of my friends and family members. Finally, I've participated in competitive fitness events such as Ragnar, Spartan Race, etc.
