Welcome! I'm Devon — a certified Ontario teacher with a passion for helping students feel confident, capable, and curious. With years of experience supporting learners from Grades 1 to 8, I specialize in making complex ideas simple, learning challenges manageable, and academic goals achievable. Whether your child needs support catching up, staying focused, or getting ahead, I bring a warm, structured approach that’s tailored to their unique needs. I have extensive experience working with students who have IEPs, ADHD, and learning differences — and I know how to build both skills and confidence. Connection & Check-In (5 min)
A quick mood and focus check to build trust and assess readiness
Review & Warm-Up (5–10 min)
Reinforce past concepts and activate prior knowledge with a short game or challenge
Skill Focus (25–30 min)
The core of the lesson: guided instruction, practice, and real-world application of a target skill (e.g., paragraph writing, grammar, reading comprehension, etc.)
Practice & Feedback (10 min)
The student applies what they’ve learned with my support, and we adjust as needed
Wrap-Up & Goals (5 min)
Recap key takeaways, set goals, and celebrate progress
