About Meri-Beth

My true passion lies in helping children grow, develop, and blossom through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences. I believe that education should inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence, allowing each child to reach their fullest potential. There is nothing more rewarding than witnessing a student’s “aha” moment—the instant when a concept finally clicks and their face lights up with understanding and pride. Being part of that journey, guiding children toward discovery and success, is what makes teaching so fulfilling to me.

I bring my whole heart into everything I do—both as a teacher and as a mom. I understand how much trust it takes to place your child in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility seriously. I strive to create a learning environment that feels safe, supportive, and full of joy. I believe that every child is capable of amazing growth when they feel seen, encouraged, and challenged in the right ways. With a love for learning, creativity, and connection, I work hard to make sure each child not only builds academic skills but also gains confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

About the lesson

My teaching style is fun, inviting, rigorous, and deeply engaging. I love incorporating interactive games into learning—both in the classroom and during tutoring sessions—to keep students excited and involved. When you are a student in my class, you become part of my family. I take the time to build strong, positive relationships with each of my students, getting to know them personally so I can earn their trust and design lessons that truly capture their interests and inspire their growth.

To make the most of each tutoring session, I meet every child right where they are—whether it’s in reading, writing, spelling, or math. I take time to understand how each student learns best and use notes and progress data to guide my lessons. This helps me see exactly what skills they’ve mastered, where they might need a little extra support, and how we can keep moving forward together. My goal is to help your child grow with confidence—closing any learning gaps, building on their strengths, and celebrating every success along the way!

My lessons are geared towards students that are in Kindergarten through 2nd grade, however, I am certified to teach up to 6th grade!
