About Amanda
I am a certified K-6 teacher in the state of Indiana. I have served as a technology teacher, K/1 instructional assistant, K-5 instructional assistant, kindergarten teacher and K-2 interventionist at different schools and districts in the Indy area.
I received my teaching license in 2018 after going through the Transition to Teaching program at IUPUI.

My teaching method is to approach teaching and learning with a fun twist whenever possible. Learning should be fun, not boring! If done right, teachers can make learning feel more like fun and less like hard work for the students without sacrificing any academic progress.
I like to build relationships with students while teaching them. This helps me learn who they are and what gets them excited about and engaged in learning, as well as learning how each student works and learns best. Having a foundation of trust between student and teacher/tutor is essential in making sure students reach their fullest potential.
