About Amber

I am a certified elementary school teacher with 4 years of professional experience teaching 2nd grade. I have a bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, a graduate degree in Early Childhood Education, endorsements in reading and ESOL, and am currently participating in a program to become certified in LETRS, a science of reading program.

• Differentiate instruction to meet all needs, including those of multiple ELL students.
• Interact competently at developmentally appropriate levels with K through 5th grade students.
• Plan and teach whole class and small group lessons to include facilitated guided reading groups.
• Work effectively one on one with English learners and students with special needs.
• Provide literary support that contribute to the academic readiness of the class to include foundational reading strategies in alignment with LETRS curricula.
• Orchestrate activities to cater to the developmental needs of the child.
• Integrate strategies to encourage social emotional wellness.
• Integrate discovery learning methods to foster academic success.
• Maintain positive relations with students, parents, administrative staff, and the community.
