About Ada
Hi friends,
My name is Ada. I'm popularly called Ms. Ada by my students. I am an experienced English Tutor with over 10 years teaching young learners online. I hold a degree in English Education and master's in EDTECH.
I specialize in teaching phonics and reading. I hope you are ready to explore because I will take you through some beautiful areas to help you understand sounds, letters, blending, sight words and reading.

Hello Friends,
My name is Ada. I'm popularly called Ms. Ada by my students. I hold a degree in English Education and a master's in EDTECH.
My teaching method is strictly on individual capability. This means that I tailor learning to meet each child's learning goal, every child learns differently, so I adjust how I teach based on what works best for that child, whether they need more support, a faster pace or a different approach entirely.
I am experienced in teaching phonics and reading with over 10 years online tutoring skill.
I believe great reading is positively influenced by the literacy foundation, therefore I introduce letter sounds to my learners before letter names, then sight words. I achieve this using Letterland, Jollyphonics and so on. This helps to build their phonics ability and in turn makes them read early.
My lesson is typically a period of 50 mins to 1 hour per session, this is because the attention span for young learners is usually reduced after this time but to make it interesting, I incorporate games, quizzes and stories. Sometimes you will have puppet friends coming to class to read with you. Sounds fun right?
My lessons are for learners between the ages of 5 to 11 and it's strictly online.
