About Juu Eur
Hello! I’m Joey, and my journey with the Chinese language began not just in classrooms, but in the joy of discovering a whole new world of words, sounds, and stories. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students of all ages—from curious children to busy adults—and each lesson has taught me as much as I’ve taught them. I love teaching because it’s not just about grammar or vocabulary; it’s about connecting people, building confidence, and opening doors to new cultures. Every student has their own story, and I enjoy tailoring lessons to your goals, pace, and interests, making learning Chinese exciting, meaningful, and practical. Whether you’re starting from scratch, preparing for exams, or aiming to speak Chinese fluently for work or travel, I will guide you step by step, celebrate your progress, and make sure you enjoy the journey as much as the destination. Learning Chinese with me is more than lessons—it’s an adventure we take together.

My teaching approach focuses on student-centered learning — I believe every learner is unique, so I design each lesson according to your level, learning goals, and interests.
I use a communicative and task-based methodology, which means you’ll learn Chinese through real-life topics, interactive conversation, and meaningful practice. Along the way, I also emphasize vocabulary building, grammar accuracy, pronunciation, and cultural understanding, helping you use Chinese naturally and confidently.
A typical lesson lasts 50 to 60 minutes. Each class includes:
A short warm-up or review of previous content
️ New language input (words, expressions, sentence structures)
Speaking and listening activities for practical use
️ Feedback and guidance for improvement
I am a certified Chinese teacher with several years of experience teaching both children and adults from beginner to advanced levels. I hold a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) from East China Normal University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Universiti Malaya.
My lessons are suitable for:
Beginners who are learning Chinese for the first time
Students preparing for HSK exams or academic purposes
Adults improving business or conversational Chinese
Learners interested in Chinese culture and communication
