About Haoqi
I believe that every student learns differently, so I always create a personalised learning plan based on each student's age, ability and learning style. My goal is not only to help students improve their Go skills, but also to help them enjoy the learning process and build confidence.
After every lesson, I provide a summary of what we have learnt, and at the end of each term, I prepare a progress review to help students and parents clearly understand their development. Students are also welcome to contact me outside lesson time whenever they have questions, and I am always happy to provide patient guidance and support.
I am a patient, encouraging and responsible teacher. I believe that Go should be an enjoyable journey rather than a burden. Many of my students have not only improved their Go skills, but have also become more confident, developed stronger logical thinking, and built a more positive attitude towards learning.

My Go (Baduk) lessons are designed for students aged 4 and above, from complete beginners to amateur 1 Dan level. I am a certified Go coach with four years of teaching experience and have successfully taught more than 200 students. Lessons are available in both English and Chinese.
Each student receives a personalised learning plan based on their current level and goals. Classes cover essential topics such as life and death, tesuji, joseki, opening principles, middle-game strategy, endgame techniques, and practical game reviews to help students build a strong foundation and improve steadily.
Lessons are available online in one-to-one or small two-student groups of similar ability. A standard lesson lasts 60 minutes, and when appropriate, I am happy to spend extra time answering questions or reviewing games at no additional cost.
