About Maria
Sharing my knowledge of yoga is one of the most inspiring responsibilities I have taken hold of. With my teachings, I am able to bring wonder, peace, laughter, strength, knowledge, and wisdom to my students and their surrounding communities. What happens on our 2 by 7 pieces of the mat has the potential to be more than just a physical practice. It is the natural connection between mind and body that yoga allows for the chattering of the mind to become quiet, where you can come back to peace. My desire is to evoke this peace within you, and allow it to serve as a gateway to understanding your body, experiencing self-love, and tapping into your deeper senses of self, for the more fulfilling, happier, love-filled life ahead of you.

As a dancer, I express great value to my ability to be creative and versatile in my yogic practice. I teach Vinyasa yoga with a variety of specializations such as embodiment movement, anatomical-focused practice, mental health aid, meditation training, breathwork, and more.
As a recent graduate, I am well educated in body awareness as well as the physiological advantages of yoga. These values are thoroughly incorporated into my everyday teachings in order to holistically educate, empower, and encourage my students to become well-rounded individuals on and off the mat.
A typical lesson plan is a gradual advancement of particular concepts or poses within the individual or group's practice. Teachings are specifically tailored to the student's mental and physical needs in private lessons. Each lesson ranges from an hour to two hours depending on the specificity of the practice or additive practices such as meditation.
