About Marius
My name is Marius and I am an engineering student at École Centrale de Lyon, one of France’s leading engineering Grandes Écoles. I am currently taking a gap year and completing an internship at Cranfield University in the UK.
Before joining Centrale Lyon, I completed two years of highly selective and intensive scientific preparatory classes in Mathematics, Physics and Engineering Sciences (MPSI / PSI) at Lycée Louis Pasteur in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
I graduated from high school with the highest honours in the French Baccalaureate, specialising in Mathematics and Physics, with Advanced Mathematics as an additional subject.
I have now taught more than 300 hours of private lessons and supported over 15 students, ranging from secondary school pupils to students in their second year of scientific preparatory classes.
I teach in both English and French and work with students who need to rebuild their foundations as well as those aiming for higher academic performance.
Several of my students have achieved significant progress. For example, one student improved from an average of around 9/20 in Physics to 14/20 in the French Baccalaureate, while a preparatory-class student who initially struggled to reach the average has since achieved marks of up to 17/20 in oral examinations.
Beyond improving grades, my goal is to help students understand what they are doing, develop an effective working method and become increasingly confident and independent.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s level, difficulties and objectives. With more than 300 hours of tutoring experience, I have worked with students who needed to rebuild their foundations as well as high-achieving students aiming for excellent results.
I focus on three main areas: understanding, practice and methodology.
We first make sure that the key concepts are genuinely understood rather than simply memorised. We then work through carefully selected exercises to strengthen technical skills and identify recurring difficulties. Once the foundations are secure, we move on to more challenging or exam-style problems, where I teach students how to analyse a question, choose the right method and present a clear and rigorous solution.
Depending on the student’s needs, we can review class material, prepare for an upcoming test or examination, correct previous assignments, work through difficult exercises or explore more advanced problems.
All lessons are taught online using an iPad and digital pen. Students can see everything I write in real time, including calculations, diagrams, proofs and corrections. This makes the sessions highly interactive and gives the student the same visual support as working together on a physical whiteboard.
I also offer support between lessons. Students can occasionally send me questions or exercises they are struggling with, and I can suggest additional exercises when useful.
I teach Mathematics and Physics to secondary school and sixth form students. I can also provide advanced Physics and Engineering Sciences support to students following demanding scientific programmes.
My aim is not simply to help students complete their homework, but to give them the understanding, methods and confidence they need to become increasingly independent.
