About Azlin Yarina

Hello, I’m Azlin, an English teacher from Malaysia with more than 15 years of experience in education. Teaching has taken me from working with very young children to school students and adults, and I genuinely enjoy seeing learners become more confident and independent in using English.
I am CELTA-certified and have also completed Cambridge TKT Modules 1 and 2 and Train the Trainer (TTT) certification. For eight years, I ran an English-medium kindergarten and daycare center, and my teaching experience also includes private tuition, language-center teaching and onsite English classes for factory workers.
What I enjoy most about teaching is getting to know the person behind the learner. Everyone learns differently, and I believe a good teacher should be able to adapt rather than expect every student to learn in the same way.
I’m also a lifelong learner myself, with a particular interest in languages, technology and parenting skills. Continuing to learn keeps me curious and reminds me what it feels like to be a student.

My lessons are practical, supportive and centered around you. I believe the best way to learn English is to use it, so I encourage plenty of speaking, interaction and real-life practice rather than long teacher explanations.
I adapt each lesson to your level, goals and learning style. Depending on your needs, we can work on conversation and confidence, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, everyday communication or English for the workplace. I use guided discovery, communicative activities, visuals and personalized practice to help you understand and remember what you learn.
I am CELTA-certified and have more than 15 years of experience in education. I have taught young children, school students and adults, including onsite English classes for factory workers. I also spent eight years running an English-medium kindergarten and daycare center. I have completed Cambridge TKT Modules 1 and 2 and Train the Trainer (TTT) certification.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes, although the pace and activities are adapted to the learner. For younger children, I use shorter, varied activities, games and visuals to keep them actively involved.
My lessons are suitable for young learners, teenagers and adults, from learners who need extra support with English to adults who want greater confidence in everyday or workplace communication.
Most importantly, you don't need to worry about making mistakes in my lessons. Mistakes are part of learning, and my job is to help you become more confident and independent in using English.
