About Steven
I’m a Cardiff-based guitarist, music tutor, and performing musician with over 10 years’ experience teaching in schools and on stage. I’ve toured internationally, played major venues, and love helping others experience the buzz of making music. Teaching isn’t just a job for me, it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I get a real kick out of seeing people gain confidence, discover their own style, and fall in love with playing.

My lessons are relaxed, practical, and shaped around you. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or getting ready to play live, I focus on real-world playing, not just theory. We’ll build confidence, explore different styles, and work on songs you actually enjoy. I use a mix of demonstrations, backing tracks, and personalised exercises to help you develop technique, timing, and creativity at your own pace.

Perfect! Steven is an excellent guitar tutor, and I’ve really enjoyed my lessons with him. As someone learning electric guitar for the first time, I really appreciate how patient and understanding he is. As a dyslexic guitarist, I can sometimes find it challenging to understand and remember certain techniques and chords, but Steven is great at tailoring the lessons to suit the way I visually learn.
I’ve always wanted to learn a few Green Day songs, so we’ve recently been working on those, which has been a great confidence booster and has made learning even more enjoyable. I’d highly recommend Steven to anyone looking to learn guitar!View more reviews
