About Clara
My 12 years old brother's GCSE success! (concealed information) I have studied at UCL for BSc Applied Medical Sciences. I will be studying at Imperial College London for MSc Machine Learning and Big Data in Physical Sciences. Yet, I also am a young tutor who considers social values and creating experiences with students is important for me. Past student Placement & Final Grade (after tuition): Oxford Biology - Biology A* (from A); UCL Pharmacology - Chemistry A (from D); Glasgow Microbiology Biology A (from B); Birmingham Law - Biology & Maths As (from B) I am a diligent and hard-working person who enjoys bringing new facts and content into the minds of other people and adore helping, developing someone else’s potentials by sharing mine. I aim to spread this positivity and my knowledge through teaching and mentoring students in an innovative way. I serve friendly behaviour and bring upon optimistic attitude to any task, am very responsible and organisational, am punctual. I academically succeeded highly with 11A*s and 1 A in my GCSE subjects and 4A*s in my A-Level subjects (3 sciences and mathematics). I have participated in UKMT (UK Mathematics Challenge) every year in my secondary school years, achieving Gold awards throughout with the nomination of being the first in the whole school. I also challenged myself through Chemistry and Physics Olympiads, achieving High Bronze awards also.

9 years old & 12 years old GCSE & A-level Successes! (concealed information) (concealed information) (concealed information) Past student Placement & Final Grade (after tuition): Oxford Biology - Biology A* (from A), Chemistry A (from B); Oxford Biology - Mathematics A (from B); Imperial College London Medicine - Mathematics A* (from A), Biology A* (from A), Chemistry A* (from B) UCL Pharmacology - Chemistry A (from D); Glasgow Microbiology Biology A (from B); Sussex Medicine - Chemistry A* (from A) Birmingham Law - Biology & Maths As (from B) My mentoring sessions are carried out in innovative ways to find the best route for my mentees. My teaching methodology is flexible to efficiently carry tutoring sessions for each individual. I collate useful resources in the most appropriate way for individual's own learning styles, and I deliver content with tolerance and patience all the time. However, my teaching always involves asking about and going through the struggling content clearly then is based on factual or application questionnaires to check upon the students' understanding then involves various interactive activities such as quiz, mix-match to engage the learning. Through my tutor sessions, my tutees always develop their confidence, self-esteem and their competencies. I have taught various age groups from 5 to 24. My mentoring sessions are interactive and innovative. My main aim is to develop my tutee’s self-esteem, confidence and perseverance to fulfil their own aspirations tracing a successive transition in their grades. I have many experiences working with children, especially with spending my work experience as an assistant in a primary school class, I was able to interact and deal with various situations to keep the children calm, focused and motivated.

Taeyeon was an amazing A-level Chemistry tutor for the past year. She uses a lot of exam questions and goes through each of your doubts very thoroughly. She makes the lessons very engaging and obviously very knowledgeable about each topic.

My daughter was hesitant to get a tutor, but found Taeyeon (Clara) to be very patient and understanding. She was also able to cover information that she previously found difficult to understand. I am happy to recommend her. My daughter did Biology A Level tutoring.Every minute of your sessions have been useful. The order of points that you've taught to follow for every question is almost a foolproof method of bagging marks. You've also clarified a few fundamental doubts and now I already feel prepared for the boards! Thank you for making biology, chemistry, physics and maths seem a thousand times easier:)
I have taught Clara Chemistry for 2 years for her A-Levels. She is one of the best students I have taught in recent years, having an excellent grasp of the subject which meant that she was able to help explain concepts to other students in detail and with ease.
Her test papers were often over 90% showing near perfect answers in the majority of questions. Clara read around the subject using a variety of resources to ensure she had a greater depth of the subject in order to aid her understanding and application.View more recommendations
