About Chantelle
Hello everyone! My name is Chantelle, also known as Chizzle, and I’m passionate about movement, creativity, and the power of play. I’m based in Cape Town and I absolutely love being outdoors, connecting with nature, and finding magic in the simple moments of everyday life. I hold a BA in Graphic Design and previously worked as a footwear designer before transitioning into the payments industry. In 2023, I completed my Yoga Teacher Training, which deeply influenced my approach to teaching by grounding it in mindfulness, embodiment, and nervous-system awareness. Hula hooping is where everything truly came together for me. What began as a fun hobby quickly became a moving meditation and a profound form of self-expression. It helped me build a kinder relationship with myself, my body, and the world around me, and that’s the experience I love sharing with others. This has led me to make and sell beautiful HDPE and Poly Pro hula hoops in South Africa. As a teacher, I bring professionalism, patience, and genuine enthusiasm to every lesson. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where students of all ages and levels can grow, explore, and reconnect with the joy of play. I’m excited to meet you and guide you into the beautiful world of hoop flow!

Hula hooping is so much more than just spinning a plastic circle, it’s a moving meditation, a sacred space, and a form of expression that often says what words cannot. As a Cape Town–based flow artist, hoop-maker, and yoga-trained facilitator, I bring a unique blend of technical skill, creativity, and mindful movement into every lesson.
My methodology is rooted in play, embodiment, and progression. I teach in a way that honours each student’s pace, personality, and learning style. You’ll not only learn clean technique and fun tricks, but also how to feel at home in your body, connect with your flow, regulate your nervous system, and build confidence through movement.
A typical session starts with 10–15 minutes of dropping into the body with a gentle warm-up, light stretching, and a moment to breathe and arrive fully. After that, we explore new tricks or refine what you already know, break movements down step-by-step, drill skills to build muscle memory, and piece everything together into a small flow or combination.
Every class is shaped around what you need, whether you want to learn foundations, grow your flow, build strength, improve coordination, or simply find joy and release through movement. Hooping also offers wonderful physical and mental benefits, from balance and core strength to stress relief and mood boosting.
My lessons are suitable for complete beginners, intermediate hoopers, and kids, teens, and adults of all ages. They’re perfect for anyone looking for a fun, low-impact workout, mindful movement, creative expression, or a safe space to reconnect with their inner child. I meet you exactly where you are.
