About Nelda
Graduating with a BMus from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama meant spending countless hours in practice rooms refining my own craft. I remember sitting at the piano for hours, breaking down complex jazz improvisation, scales and arpeggios, dynamics and expression, sight reading, pop and contemporary, and pedalling technique until they became second nature.
This dedication defines how I now work with students. I offer a diagnostic playing assessment before we set a learning plan for every student I encounter. Balancing discipline with musical joy is what I find most enjoyable about this profession. Whether you are playing pop or complex jazz, we will focus on clarity and technical precision to ensure you feel comfortable behind the keys.

Do you often feel that your fingers simply cannot keep up with the notes on the page? My 4 years of teaching experience, combined with my BMus training, helps me identify why your rhythm or pedalling technique might feel stuck. I focus on dynamics and expression, sight reading, and pop and contemporary styles to ensure you grow. We utilise 6.0 level insights to sharpen your scales and arpeggios efficiently.
Since I have taught 402 students, I know exactly which technical hurdles usually cause the most frustration for learners. I always emphasise a disciplined, direct path to improvement that keeps the music feeling fresh and exciting.
