About Evan
My name is Evan and I am reading Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, with the intention of specialising in Physics. My aim is to help students build confidence and make progress in preparation for their GCSE and A-level exams. Having sat both of these exams myself and achieving highly (13 grade 9s and 4 A*s), I understand the stress of secondary school exams and know that feeling well prepared is an effective way of minimising nerves. With 200+ hours of tutoring experience, I have marked lots of students' work and have gained insight into what GCSE and A-level examiners are looking for in a student's response.

I believe students make most progress by solving problems in context. Each 1 hour lesson involves learning a chunk of new content and then answering a set of problems from my large bank of resources, including hundreds of past paper exam questions. Having achieved 13 grade 9s at GCSE and 4 A*s at A-level alongside 200+ hours of tutoring experience, I feel confident that my lessons enable students to make regular progress in both their subject knowledge and their confidence.

Evan unofficially tutored me for around 2 years in school. When I started, I consistently achieved 5s but in June this year I got an 8. It was thanks to patient, regular input from Evan which motivated me to continue to learn Spanish further independently. Impeccable organisation: lessons always run smoothly thanks to advanced preparation. Evan cleverly cycles vocabulary from previous sessions in starter activities to boost retention.
