About Yammi
Hi! I am a Year 2 undergraduate student studying Natural Sciences (Biological) at University of Cambridge. I have over 3 years experience of private tutoring for Maths and Sciences, and 1 year experience in mentoring students with university application, Oxbridge interview, personal statement assistance etc. Two of my students have received offers for 2021 entry from Cambridge (Natural Sciences) and Oxford (Chemistry) this year.

I can tutor all sciences up to GCSEs, and Chemistry, Biology and Maths up to A-level, and provide Oxbridge targeted interview practices for sciences and personal statement assistance.
My aim is to give 1:1 lessons which are as tailored to the students' needs as possible, and also enthuse students with the subjects. To help students excel in exams I will focus on practice questions and exam techniques. In my first lesson or before the lesson, I will discuss the specific weaker areas / topics of the subject they would like to work on and focus on those areas in our lessons.
For university application assistance I specialize in application to science courses. I have extensive experience in marking personal statements (marked over 20 personal statements) and I would be assisting the students from brainstorming, planning, drafting and redrafting. For each Oxbridge interview lesson, I will prepare a 30 minute Oxbridge styled mock interview to push students out of their comfort zones. Then I would evaluate the students' performance using Oxbridge criteria and give extensive feedback for improvement.
