About Sam
I am a medicine undergraduate at the University of Cambridge and have just finished my intercalation year in Psychology, as part of the Natural Sciences course, completing my preclinical studies. I enjoy running, playing the violin, and of course science!

My approach to teaching is centred around the student. Our sessions will be driven by the subtopics where the student feels confused, to ensure that all questions will be answered. My medical degree and 4 A*’s at A-Level have provided me with the framework for how to conceptualise and teach more abstract concepts in a way that is more understandable and student-friendly, which will complement such a style of tutoring. Lessons will be expected to last 1 hour, but can be longer if desired.

During my personal statement prep sessions for medicine, I have observed that Sam communicates very clearly, articulating his thoughts and suggestions in a comprehensive way. I find that Sam is also proficient in subject terminology, with regards to more complex biological and scientific concepts, which is also important as a tutor. Throughout the sessions, Sam has consistently demonstrated his expertise in relaying and summarising important information which can also play a huge role in tutoring. Overall I think that Sam is a great tutor!
Sam is very helpful and patient when teaching and I have seen significant improvement in my grades thanks to him.
