About Megan
I have a BA (Hons) in English With Creative Writing from Falmouth University for which I achieved a First. I specialised in theatrical critical theory and playwriting, but undertook a broad programme of study across genre and time period, from Old English to contemporary texts. In October I will be undertaking an MSt at the University of Cambridge. I love reading, films, museums, and occasionally wild swimming, which I discovered a love for while living by the sea in Cornwall.

My approach to teaching is very flexible: we can identify the areas you would like to strengthen and work collaboratively to create lesson plans which suits your style of learning. I always encourage students to shape the direction of our lessons according to your goals, and what would make you feel most productive. One thing especially important to me is your confidence and wellbeing. For students in need of extra help, I generally go back to the beginning of the texts you are studying: for example, going through Macbeth together Act by Act and then consolidating knowledge as we go along. For students who are pursuing top grades, we can take a look at your texts from a higher level- I can set different tasks and essays designed to push and develop your abilities. For A-Level students planning on studying English Literature at university, I can introduce you to some new approaches to the field ahead of your studies.
