About Ertug
My name is Ertug, and I am a specialist maths, science and Oxbridge admissions tutor looking to help out students studying for their GCSEs/A levels. I graduated with a master's degree in materials & mechanical engineering from the University of Cambridge, and have a professional background in investment banking/finance, as well as having worked in technology startups. Now I feel is the time to impart the skillset I have been refining for the last 10 years onto candidates at the start of their journey. Further, I have an excellent academic record consisting of 4 A*s at A Level (with an approx. 98% UMS average across these exams), 12 A*s at GCSE and have represented my school in the maths challenge/olympiad, having earnt the highest mark in my school for the challenge in 2013.

I have been selectively tutoring independently for the last 6-7 years, mainly in maths, physics, chemistry, biology and Oxbridge admissions. I have given mock engineering interviews at both grammar and private schools in London - as part of outreach programmes, volunteering groups or private companies. I have also worked as a counsellor/tutor at Oxbridge Royale Academy, one of the UK's leading Oxbridge summer schools. I am highly driven when it comes to helping people achieve their academic goals and helping students reach their full potential and beyond. But most importantly for me is levelling the playing field when it comes to applications to university. I honestly believe that any student who wants to study at a top university can do so, if they put in the work and learn the key skills and techniques that will help them stand out from the competition in an interview environment. It is these exact skills and techniques that I aim to impart on students I tutor, through high rigour mock interviews and technical question practice, all of which are based upon real Oxbridge interviews. From getting into your chosen university to achieving your dream grade, I look forward to teaching any student at any academic level and inspiring them to do their best, both in terms of achieving the grades and having a bold confidence in themselves that will lead them to success not only just in exams, but for the rest of their lives.
