About Ivana
I'm originally from Denmark and I have a master's degree in Danish and English literature and language. I used to teach English as a foreign language and Danish as a native language at a college in Denmark. For the past 15 years I've worked as a freelance translator and 2 years ago I started tutoring English GCSE literature and language. I teach either in person or online and I work with mainstream students, home ed students as well as students with additional needs.

I’m a local (Somerset: Bridgwater and Taunton) English tutor offering 1-to-1 GCSE English support. I work in a patient and encouraging way, helping students feel more confident with texts, including poetry, drama and prose. Sessions focus on: • understanding texts clearly • developing ideas and interpretations • analysing language in a manageable way • structuring exam answers step by step • building confidence for the exam Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and needs, and I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. Lessons are 1 hour with an optional 5 min break.
