About Amy
I am new to tutoring, but not new to teaching. I've taught pre-k through grade 12 as a long-term substitute, followed by a homeroom teacher for pre-k and first grade with a classroom of 28. I was responsible for fully developing and teaching a curriculum in multiple subject areas. This was taught in juvenile facilities and in county jail. My education and past positions have included Criminal Justice, Psychology, and Family Counseling.

Based on the age of the child, the lessons are developed around their attention span, which is 30 - 60 min. In math, I use a Bridges Based Curriculum. In reading, Phonics and Comprehension is emphasized. Fun interactive games and projects are also involved.
