About Melissa
Hi! I'm Melissa! I'm a California-credentialed Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) with a master's in Special Education and 20+ years supporting neurodivergent learners - from classroom paraprofessional to teacher to district Program Specialist, where I helped build a comprehensive autism program for Stockton Unified.
I specialize in students with ADHD, autism, and learning disabilities who are bright but struggling with the how of school: starting tasks, organizing work, managing time, and studying effectively. My sessions are structured, explicit, and low-pressure - I teach the underlying skills, not just tonight's homework. As a neurodivergent mom of neurodivergent kids, I understand both the student side and the parent side. Parents get clear updates on what's working and what we're targeting next.
