About Annalee
Teaching exists because math requires a patient guide to reveal the beauty of logic. 364 students have successfully navigated my classes over the last 13 years.
As a PhD candidate in Mathematics at the University of Chicago, I prioritize deep conceptual understanding over simple rote memorization. We work through area and volume, definite integrals, and integration by parts with consistent rigor. My approach covers differential equations basics, sequences and series, integrals, and optimization problems. I focus on building a bridge between theoretical concepts and the specific exam technique requirements that students face daily.

It is surprisingly common to feel lost when trying to visualize how integrals translate to physical space. I focus on turning complex optimization problems and sequences into logical, step by step sequences that make sense to the brain. My lessons emphasize the core theory behind integration by parts and differential equations basics as taught at the University of Chicago level. We treat every exam technique breakdown as a conversation rather than a lecture to ensure you grasp the underlying why.
Having taught 364 students, I know how to adapt my explanation to your current level of comfort. Each concept gets the time it deserves to be fully processed without rushing through the material. Whether you are struggling with definite integrals or advanced area and volume calculations, we tackle the difficulty together. I make sure that my explanations remain clear and friendly throughout our time together.
