About Richard
Most of my students come to me stuck, falling behind in class, dreading the next test, convinced they're "just bad at math." A few weeks in, they're working problems on their own and actually following what they're doing.
I've spent over 7,900 hours tutoring math, from Algebra through Calculus. That experience means I can usually spot exactly where a student's understanding breaks down and fix it fast.
My sessions are focused and practical. We start with what you're working on in class, clear up the gaps, work through examples together, and then I hand you the wheel so the confidence is real, not borrowed from watching me.

Practicing math alone can feel like banging your head against a wall, every example skips the exact step you're stuck on. That's the part I fix.
After 7+ years and thousands of hours, I've learned how to explain hard concepts clearly and directly, without the fluff. Here's how a session usually goes:
• We start with what you're currently working on
• Find where things are actually breaking down
• Walk through targeted examples together
• You practice applying the method on your own, with me there to catch mistakes
The goal is always understanding the why, not memorizing steps. That's what makes it stick past the next quiz.
First lesson is free , so there's zero risk in finding out if this works for you.
