My Tutoring Approach & Lesson Structure
My approach to private tutoring is structured, student-centred, and results-driven. As a 3rd-year BCom General student at the University of the Western Cape with 4 years of experience as a tutor and scribe at Top Tier Tutors, I understand both the academic content and the challenges students face.
What makes me unique as a tutor is my ability to break down complex business and economics concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations, while adapting lessons to each student’s pace and learning style. I believe consistency and active engagement are key to improvement.
Lesson Methodology
I personally create a customised study schedule based on both my availability and the student’s timetable. Lessons include:

• Revision worksheets and past-paper style questions
• Provided academic sources and guided video study material
• Weekly revision of work covered

Rates and Lesson Details
• Hourly Rate: 200 per hour.
• First Lesson Free: Your first session is completely free and will serve as an orientation. During this session, we will discuss your learning goals, assess your current level, and plan a structured study schedule tailored to your needs.
• Lesson Structure: Each session is 1 hour of tutoring plus 15 minutes of review, revision, and feedback at the end. This ensures you fully understand the work covered and can track your progress.
• Materials: I provide all necessary learning materials, including revision worksheets, study sources, and video materials. There is no additional cost for resources or using online tools.
• Flexibility: Lessons can be scheduled based on your availability and learning pace.
Goal: My aim is to provide high-quality, structured, and supportive tutoring that helps you understand concepts, build confidence, and improve your results.
