About Keira
I am a University of Florida business student with a strong academic background in math and standardized testing. I was recognized as an AP Scholar and have taken advanced coursework including algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, statistics, and economics, which has strengthened both my problem-solving skills and my ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
I also improved my own SAT score by over 300 points through self-studying, which has given me a strong understanding of what strategies actually work. Because of this, I am able to guide students not just on content, but on how to approach the test, manage time, and avoid common mistakes.
In addition to my academic experience, I have hands-on experience teaching elementary through high school math as well as SAT preparation. I have worked with students at different levels and know how to adapt my teaching style to fit each individual’s needs. My strength is breaking down challenging topics into simple, understandable steps so students can build confidence and truly understand the material.
I am highly organized and create personalized learning plans for each student based on their goals, whether that is improving grades, preparing for exams, or strengthening foundational skills. I also make customized study guides to support learning outside of sessions.
I take tutoring seriously and aim to provide a professional, reliable, and encouraging environment where students feel supported and motivated to succeed.

As a tutor, I focus on breaking things down in a way that actually makes sense to each individual student. I have experience teaching elementary through high school math as well as SAT prep, so I adjust my approach depending on the level, class, or specific goals. I individualize every learning plan, whether it is SAT prep by concept or preparing for an upcoming test.
My teaching style is very step by step and focused on clarity. I explain concepts in different ways until it clicks, using techniques that match how the student learns best. I also make handmade study guides for each student so they have organized, easy to understand material to review outside of sessions.
A typical lesson includes reviewing past material, clearly breaking down a new concept, and then practicing together before the student tries problems on their own. I also focus on building strong problem solving habits and confidence, not just getting the right answer.
What sets me apart is how personalized my sessions are. I make sure everything is tailored to the student, from the way I explain things to the structure of the lesson. My tutoring is best for elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as students preparing for the SAT who want a clear and individualized approach.
