About Ali
Hi, I'm Ali! Having grown up in a home where tutoring was non-negotiable, I know exactly how easy it is to groan at the thought of more studying after a long day at school. That's why I make it a priority to keep lessons engaging, interactive, and enjoyable.
My goal is to turn abstract, confusing, and sometimes downright boring concepts into something relatable, memorable, and easy to understand. Expect plenty of examples, activities, discussions, and practical applications rather than endless lectures.
What I enjoy most about teaching is seeing that moment when something finally clicks. It's incredibly rewarding to watch students grow in confidence, improve their skills, and eventually use what they've learned in their own lives—or even help others understand it too. That's when learning becomes truly meaningful.

My teaching approach is student-centred, with lessons carefully scaffolded to suit different abilities, learning styles, and learning speeds. I focus on helping students understand concepts through practical examples, guided discovery, and real-world applications rather than rote memorisation. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although longer or shorter sessions can be arranged to meet individual needs. I hold a PGCE and have over seven years of teaching experience across the UK, China, Taiwan, and the UAE. My lessons are primarily designed for students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations, though I can also support learners at other secondary school levels.
