About Poorni
Hello! I am a passionate Biotechnology student at VIT Vellore, with a strong interest and fundamentals in Biology and a genuine enthusiasm for helping students understand concepts in a simple and engaging way.
I believe that every student has the potential to learn and improve when they receive the right guidance, encouragement, and individual attention. My teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals, explaining complex topics clearly, and creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions.
As a Biotechnology student, I have developed an academic foundation in subjects such as Cell Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Biotechnology. I aim to use my knowledge to help students strengthen their understanding, prepare for examinations, and develop a greater interest in the subject.

My Teaching Approach
I believe that effective learning begins with understanding concepts rather than simply memorizing information. My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and focused on building a strong foundation in Biology and Biotechnology.
Teaching Techniques and Methods:
I explain concepts in a simple and easy-to-understand manner, using real-life examples, diagrams, illustrations, and step-by-step explanations. I encourage students to ask questions and actively participate in the learning process. I adapt my teaching methods according to each student's learning pace, existing knowledge, and academic goals.
For complex topics, I break them down into smaller, manageable concepts and connect them to practical applications, helping students develop both conceptual clarity and confidence.
Usual Class Structure:
1. Introduction and Revision: Briefly review previous concepts and understand the student's learning objectives.
2. Concept Explanation: Introduce the topic through clear explanations, examples, and visual aids.
3. Interactive Learning: Encourage questions, discussions, and problem-solving to reinforce understanding.
4. Practice and Assessment: Use short questions, quizzes, or application-based exercises to evaluate progress.

My Special Features as a Teacher:
As a Biotechnology student, I bring a strong interest in biological sciences and a willingness to make learning engaging and accessible. I focus on explaining the reasoning behind concepts rather than encouraging rote memorization. My goal is to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own pace.

* School students from Classes 5-12 who want to strengthen their Biology fundamentals.
* Students preparing for school examinations and conceptual revision.
* Undergraduate students seeking introductory support in Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, and related subjects.
Classes can be adapted to the student's academic level, learning requirements, and goals. I offer online teaching with a focus on personalized attention and active learning.
