My approach to studying has always been about truly understanding concepts rather than just memorising facts. This deep understanding helped me achieve straight As and earn subject prize awards in secondary, including an academic prize award in Advanced Higher Physics last year, which I’m now pursuing at university. I aim to bring this same focus on comprehension to my tutoring, helping students grasp challenging topics, while gaining a genuine interest through the process.
Altough I am new to tutoring, I believe that my passion and academic background can be of great use. A typical lesson lasts about an hour, blending explanations, analogies, problem solving exercises, and an open environment that encourages questions and out-of- the box creative thinking. I encourage students to ask questions and actively engage with the material, ensuring they truly understand it rather than just memorise. This deep comprehension allows them to apply their knowledge to a wide range of questions, enhancing their problem-solving skills.
