About Annamaria
I am a qualified Canadian and British teacher currently working as a primary school teacher in the UK. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree and in the year to follow a Master of Teaching degree. I have been a tutor for about two years, a supply teacher for a year and a Year 5 classroom teacher since January 2020. I specialize in history and psychology with a special interest in the humanities. I love to edit essays and teach students how to set up their essay, I also enjoy teaching students the academic skills necessary to succeed in all their schoolwork.

My approach to teaching is simple, based on the saying by Anne Isabella “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime”, my goal is to learn about the student, and then set up the classroom according to their needs and interests. I want to make learning fun for my students and allow them to both understand the work they are doing and create work they are proud of. I work along side students, showing them what I do when revising their work so that they can learn those skills and apply them to their own work. As a tutor I want my students to get to a point where they no longer need my help because they can do it on their own.
