About Selvyn
My name is Selvyn and I'm current studying Computer Science at Lancaster University. Having recently completing my own A-Levels and GCSEs, I understand the challenges and triumphs you might be experiencing first hand. This closeness in experience means I can better relate to your perspective as a student. I've navigated through those exams, so I know the pressures and the joy of overcoming them.
I'm passionate about teaching because I believe everyone can excel in maths with the right guidance. I want to break down barriers and make maths an enjoyable, empowering subject for you.

I start by understanding the student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. This allows me to tailor my approach to suit their needs.
Lessons typically range from 60 to 90 minutes. However, the duration may vary based on the student's attention span and specific learning needs.
I achieved an A* in Mathematics at A-Level and a 9 at GCSE at Handsworth Grammar School. I also have experience in sitting the Oxford MAT exam. I have over 3 years of experience tutoring students across various levels from Year 7 up to Year 13.
My lessons cater to students of various levels and ages. I'm equipped to assist secondary school students aged from 11 - 18 to understand mathematics concepts and improve at answering exam questions.
