About Vidyia
BSc in Chemistry (Cum Laude and Departmental Honors) from Truman State University. Currently pursuing my MSc in Chemistry and am teaching part-time. I tutored freshman and sophomores in college and they have managed to bump a whole grade! I have only taught for about 2 years, but I believe that my interaction with the student is more pivotal to their success than the years of experience I have in tutoring.

I enjoy teaching for the sake of knowledge. I remember being excited to go to class because the material was engaging, challenging, and exciting to learn. Now, I want to be able to impart that to others and help them excel. My teaching style includes the following:
a) Get to know the student and parents & set goals and expectations.
b) Gauge student's understanding of the material presented in the syllabus thus far, based on progress in school.
c) Tailor lessons to student's needs and create lesson plans. Before the lesson starts, I create a schedule for the student to understand how we will progress to finish the expected amount of lessons in the set amount of time.
d) AND THE LESSON BEGINS ;D
e) Assign problem sets for students to do and discuss at the next session. Interactive Q&A will be done now!
I will also send mini progress reports to parents for them to keep up with their child's lesson progress. Also, all recorded lessons will be sent to students and parents.
