About Marsya
I am a university student from Malaysia in which Mandarin is considered a native language.
Apart from cultural upbringing, I have over 10 years of Mandarin education, 6 of which were carried out in a Chinese primary school. Furthermore, I have an HSK Level 5 certification (professional Mandarin assessment).
In terms of tutoring, I tutor any age range. However, I have the most experience in working with children aged 7-15. This was during my time as a primary school tutor for a non-profit organization.

Each lesson is largely tailored to the student's needs depending on learning level.
For beginners, I will first build a fundamental understanding of the language and further strengthen vocabulary and sentence forming from there.
For intermediate to advanced learners, I will engage in conversations and reenact real-life scenarios to deepen students' understanding in terms of speaking and listening.
My lessons also include cultural aspects such as books and music for the enjoyment of the student.
*For exam preparation: Largely focusing on past-paper revision and quizzes. Having experienced both Asian and Western Mandarin education and examination systems, I am well-versed in the requirements for professional and academic papers.
