About Matt
Step into auditions with confidence—coached by a working Broadway performer! I made my Broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music and returned to the stage in Kander & Ebb’s The Visit starring Chita Rivera. Off-Broadway, I’ve starred as Princeton/Rod in Avenue Q and appeared in the long-running classic The Fantasticks, most recently playing The Chevalier Des Grieux in Heartbeat Opera Company’s reimagined Manon!. Trained at NYU through CAP21 and experienced in countless regional productions, concerts, and workshops, I bring real-world insight, professional guidance, and a fun, supportive approach to help performers of all ages shine on stage and make every audition count. My approach to coaching audition material is collaborative, personalized, and grounded in real-world industry experience. I focus on helping each student connect authentically to their material, refine strong vocal and acting choices, and build the confidence to walk into any audition room with clarity and purpose. Together, we break down songs and monologues to uncover storytelling, intention, and individuality—so you’re not just performing, you’re making a lasting impression.
What sets me apart is that I’m actively working in the industry I’m coaching for—I bring real, Broadway experience into every session, not just theory. I know what casting teams are responding to right now, and I tailor my coaching to help you stand out authentically rather than fit a mold. My approach blends honest, actionable feedback with a supportive, confidence-building environment, so you leave not only with stronger material, but with the mindset and presence to walk into the room like you belong there.
Lessons are open to performers of all ages—from kids to adults—at any experience level who want to grow, refine their audition material, and gain confidence in musical theatre.
