About Evan
I am someone who is deeply passionate about history and helping to make it as accessible as possible. Beyond this, I am also passionate about education and have experience working with young people, these experiences are as follows:
Peer Student Support Leader, BRISTOL UNIVERSITY:
Taught a weekly workshop for first-year ancient history students that focused on developing research skills not covered in course lectures.
Residential Advisor, Summer at BROWN UNIVERSITY:
Worked at Summer at Brown as an R.A. supervising a group of 14-17-year-old summer students from around the world. Responsibilities included ensuring residential welfare and managing extracurricular activities.
Furthermore, If there are people in the American education system who are curious about applying to UK Universities and need help doing it I can provide advice having done it myself.

I am a big believer of the Socratic method and will try to teach via asking questions, I am not someone who will dictate to you. In regards to AP exams, I will work with you by trying to make those largely clunky textbooks as accessible as possible through conversing about the chapters and trying to relate them to the present day. Beyond this, I will also make sure in the run-up to your exams that we go through the marking criteria for essays to make sure that you know what you need to do.
