About Barbara
Hello! My name is Barbara (students call me "Pani Basia"), and I was born and raised in Poland, where my love for the language and culture began. After moving to the U.S. and pursuing a career in finance, I realized that teaching Polish was my true passion—a way to share my heritage and inspire others.

Born and raised in Poland, my passion for the language and culture has always been at the heart of who I am. After moving to the U.S. and pursuing a career in finance, teaching Polish became my way to share my heritage. With 20 years of mentoring experience and 4 years teaching Polish in both group and individual settings, I help learners connect with Poland’s language, history, and traditions.
My lessons are interactive, individualized, and laid-back, with a focus on practical language use, pronunciation, and cultural insights. A typical 60-minute class is divided into 15-minute blocks covering exercises, comprehension, and speech practice. I teach all levels, tailoring lessons to students’ goals—whether conversational fluency, exam prep, or cultural exploration. Each lesson is designed to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and make learning Polish engaging and meaningful.
