About Sophie
CELTA trained in 2004 and have taught English to adults of all abilities at language schools in the UK and to secondary school children in Asia.
In my career as a neuro rehabilitation specialist speech and language therapist, I have 20 years experience working in the NHS. With a Masters in Human communication sciences, I have an in-depth understanding of how linguistics, cognitive neuropsychology and physiology underpin language and communication.
My professional experience in a large multicultural city enables me to support those who want to enter the healthcare profession in the UK to improve their workplace English.
My key skills include developing client rapport, goal setting, solution focused learning and giving timely and constructive feedback to help you achieve your potential.
Enabling people to connect and express themselves is at the heart of what I do. With my expansive teaching toolkit and a fun and friendly attitude I will provide you with a great English learning experience.
