About Karen
Hi, I’m Karen, a trained Interior Designer with a strong foundation in Color Theory, backed by hands-on experience at a leading multinational paint company.
My background in interior design and real-world exposure to color application have taught me how thoughtful color choices can completely transform a space — from mood and lighting to harmony and visual impact. I bring that knowledge into every class I teach, focusing on concepts that are simple, relatable, and practical for everyday use.
I offer online classes to students across India and internationally. All sessions are conducted in English and designed to be easy to follow, wherever you’re learning from.

My Teaching Approach
Design isn’t just about decorating a space — it’s about understanding mood, function, and how color transforms an environment. With real project experience and a creative background, I teach color theory and interior styling in a way that’s simple, visual, and practical. Whether you're curious about design or planning to pursue it seriously, my goal is to help you build a solid foundation you can actually use.
Classes are held online and are open to students from any location. Clear English instruction makes it easy for learners from India and abroad.
How I Teach
My teaching method combines visual examples, guided exercises, and real-world case studies. I don’t just explain color theory — I show how it works in actual spaces. You’ll learn how colors interact, how to build palettes, and how to apply design principles to create harmony and contrast. Each session is interactive, so you can ask questions, share your ideas, and build your confidence as you go.
Class Structure
Each session focuses on a core concept — such as color psychology, spatial balance, or mood boards — and includes:
i. A short intro to the topic and its real-world relevance.
ii. Visual breakdowns and live examples.
iii. Interactive discussion or mini-task.
iv. Styling tips, corrections, or feedback (if practical).
v. Optional take-home task or creative prompt.
Classes are online, held in English, and designed to fit within 60 to 75 minutes. Slides, notes, or reference images may be shared after class when needed.

My standard rate is ₹1500 per hour for individual online sessions.
However, if you're truly interested in understanding how color works in interior spaces — beyond just choosing what looks nice — a single clas
s won’t take you very far. That’s why I’ve designed a structured beginner-friendly program that helps you build a strong foundation in color theory and apply it meaningfully in real interiors.
About the 5-hour and 10-hour options:
Superprof also offers 5-hour and 10-hour booking formats. These hours will be distributed across multiple sessions — not completed in one day. While they're a good starting point for casual learners or those exploring a few topics, they don't offer the same continuity and depth.
