About Hugo
As a passionate musician and trumpet teacher, I believe learning should be inspiring, structured, and enjoyable. I work closely with each student to develop technical skills, musical understanding, and performance confidence through personalized instruction and effective practice strategies.
My teaching style emphasizes patience, consistency, and clear communication, helping students master essential techniques while exploring different musical styles including classical, jazz, contemporary, and ensemble performance. My goal is to help students become confident musicians who enjoy performing and continue growing throughout their musical journey.

My trumpet classes offer a balanced approach that combines technical development, musical understanding, and enjoyable learning experiences. Whether you are picking up the trumpet for the first time or preparing for advanced performances, lessons are carefully structured to match your current abilities and future goals.
Students develop proper breathing, embouchure, articulation, rhythm, tone quality, scales, note reading, and finger coordination before progressing to flexibility exercises, endurance training, phrasing, dynamics, range development, sight reading, and expressive performance.
Advanced instruction includes orchestral literature, jazz improvisation, solo repertoire, ensemble playing, ear training, music theory, and audition preparation. Every lesson includes practical demonstrations, personalized feedback, and structured practice assignments that encourage consistent improvement.
I believe every student has unique strengths, so my teaching approach emphasizes patience, encouragement, and individual attention. Together we build strong technical foundations while developing confidence, musical expression, and performance skills that last a lifetime.
