About James
I hold an undergraduate and masters level degree in physics from the University of Liverpool. I then moved down to Sussex University to study my PhD.
Whilst in Sussex I have taught foundation level courses (for those who's A-levels didn't meet the standard required for the university) in maths and mechanics. I have taught year 1 university level maths and mechanics and year 3 electrodynamics. Each of these were taught to approximatly 40 students.

Whilst teaching a vaying level of difficulty my style has been kept consistent, in a formal classroom setting I would lecture the theory of the topic and go through some worked examples. I would then set some appropriate questions and help on an individual level.
I also ran workshop style lessons where questions would be given at the beginning on the ssession and the students would be free to cover any queries they may have either on an individual basis or in small groups.
