About Laura
My name is Laura and I was born in São Paulo, Brazil. I studied at a British school where I quickly became fluent in English and took both IGCSEs and the International Baccalaureate (IBs) for which I achieved 44/45 points (top 1% worldwide). I have recently graduated from one of the UK's top universities, University College London, with a first-class-honours for my degree in Comparative Literature. I love learning new languages, writing, and reading (especially Harry Potter!). I speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, and am currently learning British Sign Language. I hope I get to share my knowledge with you soon!

I have only graduated from university in the UK recently but have already gained valuable teaching experience. My first experience teaching was as early as high school when I volunteered as an English teacher at a state school in São Paulo. During my time at UCL, I also founded the university's first student-led Portuguese classes and taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students weekly. I was awarded 44/45 points for my International Baccalaureate (IB) including a 7/7 in English Literature Higher Level. My IELTS grade is 8.5/10 and I graduated from one of the UK's top universities with the highest grade achievable. I am a hardworking student who believes learning should be interesting and entertaining. I hope I get to share my knowledge with you soon!
