About Bernardo

I am a young person passionate about business, communication, nature-related activities, as well as movies and TV series. I believe teaching a language is one of the most beautiful things a person can do, as it broadens how others see the world. My goal is to help you improve your Portuguese communication skills, deepen your cultural understanding, and—why not—make new friends along the way.

About the lesson

I am a Brazilian Industrial Engineering student with experience teaching English to Brazilian students and translating between English and Portuguese. I aim to offer a laid-back and personalised learning environment, placing each student’s goals, prior experience, strengths, and challenges at the centre of my lesson planning. I will also be moving to Portugal in early February for an exchange programme, which will further deepen and broaden my knowledge of the Portuguese language.

VICTORIA

I had Portuguese lessons with Bernardo for about six months and really enjoyed the experience. As an English speaker, I felt comfortable from the very first class.

He explains things clearly, is very patient, and focuses on practical Portuguese that you actually use in real life. Thanks to his lessons, I became much more confident speaking and understanding the language.

I’d happily recommend Bernardo to anyone looking for a friendly and effective Portuguese teacher.
