About Amanda
Since I can remember I was always fascinated by nature. The colours, forms, lines, patterns and texture of plants intrique me. I do oil painting and watercolour, but during the lockdown in 2020 I started to learn about printing with organic plantmaterial. The magic began when I discovered the process of monoprinting with a gelliplate, which shows the beautiful detail of plants and other texture - so I was hooked!
Gelliprinting gives you endless possibilities to use your prints in collages, making cards, and using it in your artworks.
As Kim Herringe say: "Gelliprinting is one of life's simple pleasures - it's spontaneous, fun and immensly satisfying."
