About Daniel
Daniel is a distinguished media education specialist based in Melbourne, where he serves as a tutor at Monash University and teaches Units 1 – 4 VCE Media Studies for Year 11 and 12, as well as Media for Years 9 to 10. His teaching portfolio also includes VET Screen and Media, VCE Studio Art, and English. Additionally, he is involved with the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) in roles focused on VCE Media exam assessing and development. As an active Board Member and Education Committee member of the Australian Teachers of Media (ATOM), Daniel has delivered several seminars on Media Studies assessment tasks and exam preparation through ATOM, Engage Education, and TSSM. He possesses expert knowledge in film theory, podcast production, film production, photography, and art.

In my VCE Media tutoring sessions, I provide personalised guidance tailored to each student's needs and learning style. Each session begins with a focus on key concepts from the VCE Media curriculum, including narrative, codes and conventions, media production, and critical analysis of texts. We’ll explore past exam papers, SACs, and work through practical tasks to develop both theoretical understanding and technical skills. I also place emphasis on helping students with their school-assessed coursework, providing feedback on media productions, and honing exam techniques. These sessions are interactive, encouraging students to ask questions and engage in discussions to build their confidence and media literacy skills, ultimately preparing them for success in their VCE Media studies.
