About Michael
I specialise in English and History tuition, and graduated from the University of East Anglia with a 2:1 in Literature and History in 2012. I have studied numerous Shakespeare plays in depth (Macbeth, Othello, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet) and have a thorough understanding of the World Wars, the rise of Nazism, and the Cold War.
My experience includes working at Egerton Rothesay SEN school, where I worked as a teaching assistant for children with learning and/or physical disabilities. These included ASD, cerebral palsy and dyslexia. In this role I offered support and assistance across the curriculum, in mainstream subjects such as maths, English, science, geography, history and IT.
I also have experience teaching martial arts (taekwondo, capoeira) in schools and youth clubs. Working in North London, I acquired experience working with young refugees from the Middle East through the Young Roots organisation. Shortly after graduating I worked as an English tutor for Educastream, an online platform for learning English as a foreign language.
