About Yavuz
I won the Boğaziçi University Mathematics Teaching Department with the 3rd place in ÖSS 2002. I finished my school one year early by taking lessons from the upper classes. In 2011, I completed my master's degree with thesis in the field of Mathematics Teaching at Marmara University. I am a graduate of AÖF Economics. I am still a German preparatory student at the Turkish-German University. As I try to improve myself throughout my life, I try to be useful to my students not only in the field of mathematics, but also in every field of life.
Although I have had students from different age groups (from 11 to 55) over the years, my portfolio mainly consists of high school intermediate and university prep students. In addition, I also provide mathematical support for exams such as LGS, KPSS, DGS, ALES, SAT, DLR. I also teach Calculus 1 course at the university level.

The most important need is to determine the level of the student before starting the lessons. For this reason, I teach the first lesson as an introduction and free trial lesson. In this way, it is possible both to confirm the mutual communication and to determine the maths level of the student.
According to their situation, I prefer more basic resources for students with more infrastructural deficiencies, and compelling resources for high-level students. Some students think that solving difficult sources is a better tactic. Even if s/he can't solve it, he watches the video and tries to understand. What is more appropriate is that he progresses from the level he can do to the difficult with the resources suitable for his level.
In my opinion, the factors that most affect success in private lessons can be summarized as effort, experience and capacity.
Effort: The student's willingness to take lessons and his effort in doing homework.
Experience: The student's level of mathematics before taking private lessons
Capacity: We can define it as the speed of understanding and comprehension of the student.
Experience is the part that will be developed over time with the course teacher. Capacity, on the other hand, is a complex structure whose limits we do not know and which can vary according to different conditions. In these processes, our most important expectation as teachers is that our students do their best and try to complete their homework completely. With this willingness and effort, progress comes naturally.
I mostly prefer to guide my students instead of giving ready answers to the questions they cannot solve. My students send unsolved questions via Whatsapp whenever they wish. I will get back to them as soon as possible.
I also care about communication with parents. In particular, the years of YKS and LGS can be as tense for parents as for students. My stundents' parents can reach me anytime they want. I share our current situation in the most objective way. Apart from our routine meetings, I also contact with them in special situations.
I give face-to-face lessons to Ümraniye and its surroundings in Istanbul. I teach face-to-face classes in a 2 course block. It can vary between 350/400 TL depending on the distance. You can call for information. I charge 150 TL per hour for my online courses.

Kendisini yaklasik 10 yildir tanirim. Bilmek ve ogretebilmek gibi iki farkli beceriye de sahip bir Matematik ogretmeni. Bilgi kismindaki yetkinligini girdigi sinavlar, Turkiye dereceleri, aldigi lisans ve yuksek lisans (Bogazici Universitesi) egitimleriyle: ogretici yetkinligini ise gecmis kariyeri ve referanslariyla yeterince ispatlamistir. Ayrica kendisi yurtdisi gecmisi sayesinde Ingilizce'ye sadece kagit uzerinde degil, konusma dilinde de hakimdir. Isin ozu, Türkçe ve İngilizce talepleriniz için hic tereddut etmeden kendisini tercih edebilirsiniz.
Matematiği sevmemi sağlayan , hayata bakış açımı değiştiren nadir insanlardan biridir Yavuz hocam . Yavuz hocam benim de sınav senesi çalıştığım hocalardan. Alanında yetkinlikten ziyade öne çıkan tarafı beraber ders işlerken sıkılmamanız. Matematiği eğlenceli anlatabilen ender hocalardan. Tavsiye ederim :)
Yavuz hocamla yaklaşık 4 sene önce ben 9. Sınıftayken düşük gelen yazılılarım sonucunda tanıştık. Yavuz hocam ben vasat ve isteksiz bir öğrenciyken hem akıcı ve keyifli ders anlatımıyla bana matematiği sevdirdi hem de görev tanımında olmamasına rağmen bana zaman zaman rehberlik yaparak istikrarlı ve motive bir şekilde ders çalışmama yardımcı oldu. Ders yaptığımız 3 4 sene boyunca kendisinden gerek akademik gerek farklı konularda çok şey öğrendim. Geçen hafta girdiğim üniversite sınavımda aldığım güzel sonucu da emeklerimin yanında yavuz hocamın emeklerine borçluyum. Kendisini her öğrenciye tavsiye ederim.
