About Cyriak
I am a German biochemistry student who is currently researching in drug discovery at the University of Queensland. I completed my Bachelor of Science (cum laude) in biochemistry at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. I completed secondary education with an International Baccalaureate Diploma and thus did my entire education in English. My mother is a biology teacher and I have therefore been around a teaching environment my entire life and grew up learning bioscientific theory in a simplified way. My goal is to enlighten and motivate young students by simplifying complex theory into any educational level and building up a fundamental understanding of a subject. I am not here to lecture but rather to encourage engaging and critical thinking patterns in the areas of my expertise.

Lessons will be held in person if proximity allows. Online lessons would also be possible. Lessons may be between 45 mins to an hour, depending on the request but this can always be negotiated. I am fluent in German and English so both languages would be an option. My approach to teaching is based on problem-based learning, in which we tackle problems together in a stimulating and open manner to advance critical thinking skills in the respective subject. These lessons may be in the biosciences or chemistry at a secondary or undergraduate level. International Baccalaureate courses including HL Business Administration as well as SL Math AI would also be welcomed.
