About Alyssa
I'm currently a student at Newcastle looking to help other students with lessons on chemistry and biology. I am really enthusiastic about these subjects, hence my degree choice :)
I completed my A-levels last year with an A in both the subjects I wish to teach. At college, I was a Chemistry and Biology peer-mentor and taught the year below me, the students I taught had the greatest growth in grades. For instance, my chemistry student started at grade U/E and received C/B's after a month of my guidance! :D
I can't wait to help student like you who were in the same position I was in during the younger years of schooling. I was a bit lost and down with my grades but I've learned from that time and I'm ready to share my knowledge and experience!

My teaching method involves an informal and fun explanation of some tricky topics to help simplify them and make them more understandable to students who may be struggling with the 'typical, straightforward' teaching style.
With this in mind, I'll be able to help GCSE students and some A level students. As long as I am given the area in which you need help, I will prepare materials for us to go through during lessons, you'll be welcome to bring any materials with you to go through together as well!
