About Skyisnotblue
I am an MSc student who is interested in a wide variety of subjects and still am today! I read from a range of topics because I believe their isn't stark divide between subjects but that they interlinked, especially to everyday life. I would find it relatively difficult to decide which subjects to take during my A levels as I loved every subject. Eventually I chose from the sciences and social sciences. The common denominator of these subjects was science so that directed what I would eventually complete during my degree and masters.
Teaching has always been a hobby of mine from being asked by my neighbours to teach their children to my cousins and then extending to those in my school. Therefore, I love that it can now be my profession! I believe everyone has the ability to learn. You are even doing it now while you are reading this message as you are learning about me! I love to hear about the viewpoints of others and learning from others as everyone has a unique perspective in life due to the individual differences we all possess. However, we share a similar human nature so we should embrace these qualities and support one another, especially for our education.

I start the lesson with a small warm-up session. This is to engage the mind in gradual steps to navigate the students frame of mind towards the direction that the lesson will go in. This is to make the key skills that were learnt in the warm up, to form the foundations of the lesson and it's objectives. If I am teaching pupils science, I may want them to hone a deep understanding of the fundamental scientific principles of respiration through the technique of structuralism. I may start the lesson with students conjuring a factory where cakes are baked. Essential ingredients are needed for baking the cake. We then place it in the oven, bring it out of the oven and consume the delicious cake. The basic idea I would make them analogise from this is the process of respiration, which is like baking! Essential ingredients are glucose and oxygen and the product is beautiful energy (ATP) made from eating the cake and extra energy ( ATP) input is added from turning on the oven. In this sense I use easy, universally simple analogies to apply to complex structures and functions so it will be an easy tool for the lesson and for future exams!
I have an important rule in my lesson to listen to each and every individual pupils input. Their progress is important to me. I may evaluate the needs of the pupil and adjust my teaching style or interaction with them as the needs apply. I have extensive experience as a coach/counsellor ,learning leader and I have provided support to autistic children/adolescents/adults whereby their confidence grew and their parents noticed a marked difference in their behaviour. I use flexible , friendly and lively sessions that adds fun into finding and exploring knowledge without the added expenditure of boredom. Learning will feel effortless and successful.
My lessons are to prepare KS3, GCSE and A level students and can include students from the the ages of 14-18 years old.
